Rules

To enter all you have to do is submit your topic and explanation to this email address using no more than 150 words on a subject related to remote sensing, geospatial information systems, mapping and related topics and we will post.

The goal is to select a topic of wide interest that is not well understood and then to explain it in non-technical terms – democratization, if you will. Please try to select topics that have not already been submitted when possible.

• The contest will run from June 1 to August 31, 2013.
• Each submission will create an entry for the individual. Please include  contact information so we can notify you should you be a winner.
•  Individuals can submit up to 3 topics per contest.
•  The online voting will take place at the "Did You Know...?" blog.
• Voting will take place throughout the contest. You can vote for as many topics as you like.
• The winner will have a donation in the amount of $500 made in their name to the charity of their choice. 
• The second place entry will have a donation in the amount of $500 made in their name to the charity of their choice.
• The first place individual will receive an iPad.
• All submissions become the property of GDI.
